SLPs Talk Tech Named Impact Partner for New AI Literacy Initiative
We’ve secured free community access to Thinking Through AI, a self-paced app designed to build verifiable AI literacy.

Jobs for the Future, a national non-profit, HP Inc., and Readocracy, a technology company, have created a new app designed to make AI learning accessible to anyone seeking a certificate program that keeps up with trends and tools, called Thinking Through AI.
Where to get it
This spring, I reached out to JFF and applied for the SLPs Talk Tech community to gain access to this AI upskilling opportunity, and we were selected!

How to use it
The app highlights key materials that are valuable for AI upskilling. Thinking Through AI provides a curated list of videos and articles that help organize AI information and news so that you can develop a useful foundation of knowledge about AI and generative AI.
Learning Tab - Find material from the best international sources on AI literacy
Top Essentials (i.e., how AI works, what AI can do, its risk, etc.) - Start here!
Foundations Courses (i.e., critical AI literacy) - The critical impact of this technology
AI Tools Skills - Tutorials and explainers on the top AI tools
Get a certificate for learning from key sources.
The Feed - Follow a curated list of AI news. If you want to keep up or follow along when you can, try The Feed.
Your activity on the app is tracked to generate a metric/score to demonstrate an understanding of AI news, information and skills.
Why you should try it
No practicing SLP has the time to keep up with the onslaught of new AI information, yet developing an understanding of this technology and how it works is important for communication intervention experts. As more products weave AI into their tools, SLPs Talk Tech wants you to develop the AI literacy skills to make you a more competent consumer and user.
